Job summary

Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PACU / Same Day Center team. The RN will perform age-appropriate patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor postoperative recovery across Phase I, II, and III.

The role emphasizes collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team. You will ensure safe, efficient post-anesthesia care, manage equipment and supplies, and participate in education and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Idaho State Nursing Board licensure or reciprocity.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate competency in core nursing skills within 90 days of hire.
• RN license – Idaho or Compact State.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care in PACU / Same Day Center settings.
• Perform patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations for optimal recovery.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating nurses.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and patient positioning; participate in crash cart checks.
• Take 24-hour call shifts as scheduled (one weeknight every two weeks and one weekend every 8-10 weeks).
