Job summary

WVU Medicine Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient care in a PACU setting. The role requires an active RN license in the state of practice or a multi-state eNLC license, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Minimum of one year of nursing experience is expected.

The nurse will modify care plans based on data, apply evidence-based practices, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state where services will be provided or a multi-state RN license via eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members and healthcare consumers.
• Engages in activities related to nurse sensitive indicators to enhance quality of care.
• Participates in continuing professional development.
