The Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Louisville, KY. The RN provides perioperative assessment, planning, and care across pre‑ and post‑anesthesia phases.

You will document care in the electronic health record, apply ASPAN guidelines, and monitor cardiovascular, respiratory, neurologic and pain management needs to ensure safe recovery.

Qualifications

• U.S. nursing license in good standing.
• Experience in perioperative or PACU settings preferred.
• Ability to assess and respond to post-anesthesia needs.

Responsabilités

• Assess and prepare patients for procedures in the PACU.
• Perform post-anesthesia care and monitor recovery and airway management.
• Document all phases of care accurately in the electronic health record.
