Job summary

Openwork Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse – PACU (RN – PACU) to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit team. You will monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia, administer medications, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient recovery.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, adherence to safety standards, and ongoing professional development within a supportive onboarding environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PACU, perioperative, or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient recovery from anesthesia and monitor vitals.
• Administer prescribed medications, including pain management.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety in the PACU.
• Document care activities and patient responses in the medical record.
