Job summary

The University of Miami Health System in North Miami, FL seeks a Registered Nurse - Specialty for the PACU on a per diem, part-time basis. This role delivers patient-family centered care, adheres to evidence-based standards, and collaborates with the surgical team to support recovery and post-operative planning.

Florida RN license and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field are required. The float night shift requires teamwork, strong communication, and adaptability in a busy perioperative

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida RN license required.
• No prior experience required or as stated in job posting.

Responsibilities

• Assesses assigned patients and evaluates plans to include documentation of nursing care.
• Reports symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and physician orders.
• Reviews, evaluates, and reports diagnostic tests to assess patient's condition.
• Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares patients for, and assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Adheres to policies and safeguards, including HIPAA, and ensures accurate medication administration and record-keeping.
