Job summary

PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Ketchikan, Alaska, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts. You will provide expert perioperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, collaborating with a skilled team to ensure safe, patient-centered recovery.

Requirements include an accredited Nursing degree, current RN license, and 1+ year PACU experience, with BLS; ACLS/PALS required upon hire. Performance bonuses and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license.
• Minimum one year of Pre-Op/PACU nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification upon hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor and document post-anesthesia recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain pediatric/adult appropriate care and safety in PACU.
• Support quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives.
• Continue professional development and clinical excellence.
