Job summary

Lovelace Health System seeks a day shift, full-time PACU RN in Albuquerque, NM to join our hospital team. You will provide perioperative nursing care, monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, and work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient recovery.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or Diploma of Nursing and NM nursing licensure (compact preferred). BLS is required within 14 days; ACLS/PALS may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Diploma of Nursing required.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Department may also require ACLS or PALS.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Preferred: 2 years of PACU experience.
• 2 years of general nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
• May serve in the role of Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
