Position Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Meet the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Report to the Director of Surgery.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required within 3 months of employment.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Shift schedule: 3x12/4x10/5x8 + days (7a-7p)/nights (7p-7a) with rotating weekends, on‑call duties, holidays, etc.; flexibility in scheduling may be required.
