ORLANDO HEALTH ORLANDO REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER in Orlando, FL, is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a day‑shift, outpatient role with no weekend, holiday or on‑call requirements. The position emphasizes high‑level nursing vigilance and collaborative team care.

The RN will perform complex assessments, respond rapidly to changing patient conditions, and develop individualized plans of care for post‑anesthesia patients, while mentoring staff and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets mandatory competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit.
• Florida RN license or valid eNLC license; BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS and TNCC are required for certain areas.
• Minimum 1 year of PACU RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Utilizes data to anticipate changes and respond promptly.
• Identifies information to take evidence-based, patient-focused action.
• Monitors specialized equipment and records cardiac and respiratory displays.
• Responds to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocols.
• Assesses patient needs and updates an individualized care plan.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Serves as a role model and preceptor when needed.
