Qualifications

• Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills – navigate Windows-based programs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient and revise plan of care
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and multi-tasking in clinical settings
• Documentation in EMR to reflect patient care accurately

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and diagnoses
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed with patient safety in mind
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjusting plans as needed
• Provide education to patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
• Document care activities in the EMR accurately and timely
• Ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to maintain high-quality care
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following infection control policies
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols
