Responsibilities

• Provide timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement coordinated care plans.
• Regularly assess and record vital signs to monitor patient status.
• Gather and document patients' medical history, symptoms, and current health status.
• Systematically assess patients for care needs, changes in condition, or response to treatment.
• Administer and record medications according to orders and protocols.
• Independently administer nursing care using appropriate techniques.
• Delegate care per MA Nurse Practice Act and hospital guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing plans of care.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate interventions.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Utilize and maintain medical equipment as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Develop positive relationships across responsibilities.
• Stay updated on nursing practice and ensure licensure/certifications are current.
• Incorporate evidence-based practice and research where applicable.
