Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our patient-centered care team. You will provide skilled nursing care, coordinate with physicians, and support health teaching to patients and families in a fast-paced environment.

A CT license and BSN preferred; ACLS and BLS required; PACU or critical care experience encouraged. Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for professional growth within the SPIRE advancement program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• All newly hired registered nurses must have current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
• Licensure: Licensed and currently registered in the State of Connecticut.
• Special Skills: ACLS & BLS required, PACU or critical care experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Coordinate care and transitions within the patient care team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and health-care team members.
• Support health teaching and ensure accurate documentation of care.
