Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license and required education.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year PACU experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in primary care of patients and makes rounds as indicated.
• Provides nursing care related to surgical conditions.
• Monitors patients and informs surgeons or anesthesiologists of complications.
• Coordinates patient care with medical staff for continuity.
• Documents information provided by patients for appropriate areas.
• Assists with Post-Anesthesia Care documentation and orders.
• Educates patients and families on post-operative care.
• Maintains postoperative area cleanliness and stock levels.
• Follows HIPAA policies and completes mandatory trainings.
