Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Norfolk, VA seeks a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The RN will care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the post-anesthesia care unit, monitor vitals, and support safe emergence from anesthesia.

This role requires Virginia RN licensure and at least 1 year PACU experience; ACLS/PALS per contract; CPAN or CAPA preferred. Compensation starts at $2110 weekly with competitive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state where practice occurs.
• One year PACU experience preferred.
• CPAN or CAPA certification preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications per contract.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Current CPR if applicable.

Location: Norfolk, VA

The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN cares for patientswho have under gone anesthesia. Thepost-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN is responsible for observing and treating apatient postoperation and making sure that they safely awake fromanesthesia. The post-Anesthesia CareUnit (PACU) RN must monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness to makesure that the sedation is wearing off properly, there are no adverse reactionsoccurring and patients are regaining consciousness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.

• One year PACU experience preferred

• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA (CertifiedAmbulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification preferred

• ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
