Job summary

ATC Healthcare Services seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to join our PACU/critical care team in Charlottesville, VA. This role emphasizes post-anesthesia assessment, airway management, hemodynamic stability, and pain control, with collaboration among anesthesiologists, surgeons, and proceduralists.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, BLS within 90 days, ACLS and PALS prior to orientation, and 1–2 years of hospital experience in Critical Care or PACU.

Qualifications

• RN degree or diploma required with Virginia license.
• BLS within 90 days; ACLS and PALS required before unit orientation.
• 1–2 years hospital RN experience in Critical Care or PACU.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-anesthesia assessments and monitor airway, hemodynamics, and pain control.
• Care for diverse post-operative patients across multiple specialties.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and proceduralists for continuity of care.
• Administer medications and life-support interventions per policy.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge expectations.
