Job summary

Meritus Health in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Phase I PACU team. You will provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical and trauma patients in a fast-paced, autonomy-rich environment.

As a PACU RN, you will monitor airway and vital signs, manage pain and symptoms, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams. The role supports perioperative and critical care nursing growth and learning experiences.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year RN experience, PACU/ICU or high-acuity care preferred.
• Maryland RN license or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical/trauma patients.
• Monitor airway, respiration, cardiovascular and neurologic status post-anesthesia.
• Administer meds and treatments per orders and protocols.
