Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse – PACU for a full-time, 40-hour work week. Flexible 10-hour shifts start between 07:00 and 11:00. Call required: one night per week (9:30 PM–7:00 AM) and one 24-hour shift every third weekend.

Must have PACU or Critical Care experience and an IL RN license. BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with enrollment in BSN completion within four years. Current CPR and ability to work weekends/holidays are required, along with lifting up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• PACU or Critical Care experience required.
• Current IL RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with BSN enrollment within four years.
• Current AHA CPR.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts.
• Lift up to 35 pounds; use patient handling equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in PACU using evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate care transitions to home or other healthcare settings.
• Collaborate with perioperative team to ensure safe patient environment.
