Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a busy hospital setting. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and safety.

You will educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge needs, monitor vitals, and respond to changes with sound clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire for relevant units.
• PALS within 90 days of hire for Inpatient Pediatrics, if applicable.
• Oversee clinical care following nursing processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and design personalized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and evaluate responses.
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure safety.
