Job summary

Laser & Surgery Center of Palm Beaches is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to join our ophthalmic surgery team. You will provide continuous, high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RN program, an active Florida RN license, and BLS/ACLS (PALS if needed). Two years in PACU or critical care is preferred. You will collaborate with physicians in procedure rooms and maintain sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
• May assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Laser & Surgery Center of Palm Beaches

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
