Job summary

Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Center is a premier surgical facility seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to patients emerging from anesthesia and sedation, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

The PACU RN will perform assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for discharge, and assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate, contributing to smooth, patient-centered operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Ohio.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes:
