Job summary

The Queen's Health Systems seeks a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to coordinate the care of patients recovering from anesthesia. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced PACU environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring safe recovery across procedures in a 20-bed PACU adjacent to the main operating room. On-call shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Hawaii RN licensure required.
• Diploma or ADN; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS/HCP; ACLS/NALS/PALS as designated.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical care of patients and integrate health care providers to ensure high quality outcomes.
• Initiate and develop plan of care; provide patient/family education.
• Utilize management and discharge planning processes.
• Provide care for post-anesthesia patients in PACU unit; monitor vitals and manage pain.

Education

Registered Nurse license, State of Hawaii

Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred

Current BLS/HCP; ACLS, NALS and/or PALS in designated areas

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English effectively
