Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Orthopaedic South Surgical Center in McDonough, GA. This full-time position offers a $5K sign-on bonus and requires an RN license in the state with BLS/ACLS; PALS if required by the center.

The PACU RN will provide continuity of care for patients emerging from anesthesia, monitor conditions, and ensure safety, comfort and privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.
