Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (CNA) for PACU DAYS. This full-time role requires a CNA or completion of one nursing clinical semester, with 12-hour shifts from 08:00–20:30, three days per week, no weekends or holidays.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document care in the EMR, and support a family-centered approach across pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and accredited Nursing Assistant course required.
• In lieu of Nursing Assistant course, completion of at least one semester of basic nursing skills in an accredited nursing program required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bath, feed, etc.).
• Demonstrates proficiency in care of patients of all ages.
• Prepares rooms for patient admissions and ensures equipment is set up.
• Performs vital signs and reports abnormalities to RN.
• Records intake and output as directed by RN.
• Uses electronic medical record as required for patient care.
• Transports patients to other units and escorts discharged patients to car.
