Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Manager for the Main Operating Room and PACU. This full-time role leads perioperative operations, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care across General/ENT/Trauma and more, while mentoring staff and coordinating schedules for RNs.

City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) is currently hiring a Manager, Main Operating Room/PACU! This is a Full-Time position with great benefits! Position is located in Norfolk, VA. Serving as a destination medical center in the Mid-Atlantic region, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is one of just five Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital.

Job Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success. Responsible for the delivery of high quality services which meet or exceed customer expectations. Position is responsible for safe management of patients throughout perioperative experience. Serve as mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with surgeon expectations, organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, patient safety and clinical standards of care. Manage 2 direct reports and oversight of approx. 125 indirect reports Scope include the following specialties: General/ENT/Trauma, Vascular/Podiatry and GYN/Eyes/Plastics/Orientees Hiring of RNs including their Call schedule and Holiday schedule.

Job Requirements:

Required Education : RN-Bachelor's Level Degree Experience: Operating Room- 3 years; Supervisory- 3 years Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse Master's level degree in nursing preferred. Preferred experience in PACU or ICU as well as leadership experience in a highly complex academic medical center.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $123,572.80 - $188,635.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
