Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Manager of Main Operating Room and PACU to lead perioperative services. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits and a focus on patient safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include optimizing OR/PACU workflow, staffing, and directing a team of RNs with strong clinical leadership in a complex academic medical center, with opportunities for growth and impact on the region's premier heart and trauma

Qualifications

• RN-Bachelor's Level Degree required.
• Operating Room experience (3 years) with supervisory experience (3 years).
• Master's degree in nursing preferred; PACU/ICU leadership beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success.
• Deliver high-quality services meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Safely manage patients throughout perioperative experience.
• Mentor by role modeling professional practice per surgeon expectations and standards.
• Manage 2 direct reports and ~125 indirect reports.
• Oversee General/ENT/Trauma, Vascular/Podiatry, GYN/Eyes/Plastics/Orientees.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) is currently hiring aManager, Main Operating Room/PACU!

This is a Full-Time position with great benefits!

Position is located in Norfolk, VA.

Serving as a destination medical center in the Mid-Atlantic region,Sentara Norfolk General Hospitalis one of just five Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region's first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success.
• Responsible for the delivery of high quality services which meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Position is responsible for safe management of patients throughout perioperative experience.
• Serve as mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with surgeon expectations, organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, patient safety and clinical standards of care.
• Manage 2 direct reports and oversight of approx. 125 indirect reports
• Scope include the following specialties: General/ENT/Trauma, Vascular/Podiatry and GYN/Eyes/Plastics/Orientees
• Hiring of RNs including their Call schedule and Holiday schedule

Job Requirements:

• Required Education : RN-Bachelor's Level Degree
• Experience: Operating Room- 3 years; Supervisory- 3 years
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse
• Master's level degree in nursing preferred.
• Preferred experience in PACU or ICU as well as leadership experience in a highly complex academic medical center.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $123,572.80 - $188,635.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
