Job summary

UPMC Hamot is seeking a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse for the PACU to guide patients through perioperative care from pre-op to discharge. You will work four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating on-call duties; the unit emphasizes safety, comfort, and exceptional outcomes across surgical specialties.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state where the facility is located.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certification required (or as stated).
• BLS CPR certification required.

• Lead and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes and processes.
• Educate patients and families throughout all phases of care and discharge planning.
• Participate in unit quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Maintain safe, compassionate care and effective communication with the care team.
