Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PACU Nurse at our Bay Area Surgicare Center in Webster, Texas. You will care for patients postoperatively, ensure safety, and support discharge decisions in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and an active RN license, with 1+ year PACU/ICU or surgical experience. ACLS/PALS as required, BCLS mandatory. Join a team dedicated to high-quality patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in PACU, ICU or Surgery.
• BCLS Certification required; ACLS within 30 days of hire; PALS if required by facility within 30 days.
• Online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' care area and ensure necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment; ensure discharge criteria.
