Job summary

N2S Healthcare Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking a Nurse Manager for the PACU in Austin, TX. This leadership role combines clinical oversight with day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

You will oversee staffing, performance reviews, policy updates, and budget/inventory control while driving process improvements and staff development. BSN is required with at least two years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2+ years’ OR surgery experience required.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations of PACU.
• Direct staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage and productivity targets.
• Review and approve staff performance appraisals and goals.
• Regularly revise departmental manuals, policies, and protocols.
• Monitor facility conditions and take corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in Process Improvement activities.
• Act as a change agent to support management decisions.
• Maintain professional growth through ongoing education.
• Participate in budget and inventory control.
• Engage in staff and self-development initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager is a working manager, who is responsible for day-to-day operations of PACU.

• You will oversee the planning, directing and controlling of the staffing assignments in accordance with objectives and policies to ensure effective coverage of the department, and maintain productivity targets.
• You will review and approve personnel performance appraisals including the establishment of goals for each employee.
• You will regularly review/revise departmental manuals, policies/procedures, and appropriate standing orders and protocols, with appropriate input.
• You will observe condition of facilities and take corrective action to solve existing or potential problems.
• You will participate in Process Improvement activities.
• You will support management decisions by acting as a change agent through role modeling.
• You will maintain current professional growth through independent study and continuing education programs.
• You will participate in budget and inventory control.
• You will participate in staff and self-development
