Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a CNA in Walnut Creek, CA to assist with routine patient care under supervision. You will bathe, dress, feed patients, and take vital signs, while maintaining patient comfort and safety in a busy clinical setting.

Responsibilities include obtaining vitals, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring aseptic technique. Must hold CA CNA certification and BLS, with prior care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Certified Nurse Aide program.
• At least six months prior related experience preferred.
• Current CA certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtains vital signs and weights in a timely manner and reports to the nurse.
• Administers simple treatments and/or tests according to policy.
• Provides post procedure care to patients in an efficient and empathetic manner.
• Initiates patient care consistent with the nursing plan.
• Provides/assists patients with activities of daily care.
• Understands and applies principles of aseptic technique at all times in caring for patients.
• Notifies the nurse of any changes in the patients’ condition in a timely manner.
• Helps to keep all clinical areas neat and clean.
• Maintains a professional image at all times.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
