Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), assessing needs and coordinating care with the healthcare team.

The ideal candidate holds a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) with at least 2 years of experience, and excels in assessment, communication, and critical thinking to support safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong assessment and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in PACU following nursing standards.
• Develop and document care plans with the healthcare team.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across care settings.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness.

Preferred Experience

PACU, ED, or ICU experience is advantageous.
