Provides direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions according to established standards.
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Ensures patient safety, participates in quality and regulatory activities, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers. Maintains safety as a priority in a safety-sensitive environment.
Nursing diploma/Associate's degree required, RN licensure essential. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience. PACU, ED, or ICU experience is advantageous. Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills are necessary.
