Job summary

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is seeking an Assistant Clinical Manager for its 14-bed, 24-hour PACU. The ACM will provide leadership, oversee staff development, and support safe, high-quality perioperative care.

This role serves as a clinical resource, coaches staff, and helps achieve departmental goals. Minimum qualifications include an AS Nursing, an active CA RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and at least three years in PACU/ICU or perioperative nursing; BSN enrollment is preferred.

Qualifications

• AS Nursing completed or in progress toward BSN.
• Active California RN license.
• Minimum three years in PACU/ICU or perioperative nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily PACU operations and patient flow.
• Assists with staffing, scheduling, productivity, and bed capacity.
• Acts as operational lead in the absence of Clinical Manager.
• Collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, perioperative leadership, and ancillary departments.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and performance initiatives.
