Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager, oversee 24/7 unit operations, and supervise staff orientation, training, and development.

The role emphasizes leadership, education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to implement evidence-based programs that improve care outcomes. The ANM will participate in performance evaluations and contribute to advancements in care delivery while ensuring compliance with accreditation

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by a recognized accrediting body
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensure in the United States
• Foreign-educated nurses require degree equivalency validation
• Clinical leadership and supervisory experience preferred for advanced roles
• Experience implementing evidence-based practices and leading teams

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervise nursing care across assigned unit
