Job summary

Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital in Wesley Chapel, FL seeks an experienced RN for Advanced Care in the PACU. The role focuses on high-acuity post-anesthesia patients requiring rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.

The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care, ensure patient safety, teach and mentor new staff, and uphold Orlando Health standards across highly specialized units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Active Florida RN license; BLS certified.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider required; ACLS, NRP, PALS may be required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge and judgement to care for high-acuity patients in PACU.
• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and life-support equipment.
• Develops individualized care plans and evaluates patient progress.
• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional teams to manage care.
• Precepts and mentors junior staff and students.
