Job Description

To coordinate functions involving the Domestic Relations Office (DRO) and the PACSES system and to assist the Fiscal Officer.

PACSES – Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System

IRS – Internal Revenue Service

Position Information:

5-Factor Grade: 105

Classification: Administrative Specialist I

Position Code: DR3023

Employment Status: Full Time

Work Schedule: This position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2 week pay period.

Current Cumberland County Employees will follow the County Promotion/Demotion policy.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Maintains office compliance with FTI (Federal Tax Information) security per Federal regulations including accurate disbursement of Federal and State tax intercepts.
  2. Accurately processes payments received over the counter in KidStar timely, paying close attention to detail to ensure payments are associated with the correct support case.
  3. Accurately prepares the daily deposit of payments received.
  4. Solves any and all problems that occur with the PACSES system including minor hardware and software repairs, coordination of outside maintenance and monitoring of repairs and equipment returns.
  5. Generates reports from the PACSES system when requested, extracts data from the County mainframe and prepares detailed reports using that data.
  6. Maintains tables in the PACSES system and updates them in a timely and accurate manner.
  7. Receives training in all aspects of PACSES and provides training to the DRO staff.
  8. Assists the Finance and Administration Manager as necessary.
  9. Accurately designs, creates and modifies forms used by the DRO in compliance with PACSES specifications.
  10. Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
  11. Assists other staff as needed.
  12. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work:

Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional business and computer training. Must complete State and Local PACSES training.

Work Experience:

  1. 2-3 years’ working experience with clerical, bookkeeping and data entry background required.
