Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an experienced IT professional to implement and maintain radiology systems, including PACS, RIS, and Voice, ensuring secure access and accurate imaging data. Position requires on-call availability as dictated by the department.

Primary location is Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, with responsibilities spanning configuration, training, and daily system backups to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in radiology/health-related field or computer science.
• 3 years in radiology and/or technology/IT.
• Knowledge of Radiology operations, PACS, RIS, Voice Systems and their functionality.
• Knowledge of Windows operating system, UNIX and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs care, support, rollout, and maintenance of radiology systems including PACS, RIS, and Voice.
• Configures, maintains, and documents user access, profiles, and system configurations.
• Monitors image quality and calibration.
• Provides instruction and training to users.
• Maintains integrity of images; correct patient IDs and labeling.
• Performs system backup daily and weekly.

Summary

Implements and maintains the radiology systems including PACS, RIS, and voice systems and their functionality. Ensures the efficient operation of a PACS by supporting the organization's mission and assuring the integrity of images and information. On-call as required by the department.

Job Duties

• Performs care, support, roll out, and maintenance of the radiology systems, including PACS, RIS, and Voice.

• Provides instruction and training to users.
• Maintains integrity of images; correct patient ID, MRNs, labeling, etc.
• Performs system back-up on a daily and weekly basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in radiology, health-related field, or computer science.
• 3 years in radiology and/or technology/IT.
• Knowledge of Radiology operations.
• Knowledge of PACS, RIS, Voice Systems, and their functionality.
• Knowledge of Windows operating system, UNIX, and associated tools.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
