Description

Bay Medical Management, LLC is a medical services organization (MSO) headquartered in Walnut Creek. The organization provides administrative and management services to Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group (BIC), the premier radiology group in Northern California.

Summary

Reporting to the Clinical IT Manager, the PACS Administrator Lead provides operational management of clinical imaging informatics platforms and directs staff work on the PACS Admin team. Responsible for systems data management and integrity of Radiology systems, including worklist management, data reconciliation, and monitoring server/network performance related to 24/7 Radiology operations. Maintains and documents system workflow and standards per company guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or certification by the American Board of Imaging Informatics (CIIP) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business, organizational development, informatics, or technology-related fields.
  • PACS experience with Intelerad, Philips Intellispace, McKesson, Sectra, Visage, GE Centricity preferred.
  • PARCA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, install, test, and support digital imaging (PACS), Worklist, Nuance Powerscribe, and other clinical applications systems, including OS, networking, and system administration.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for technical support.
  • Guide and support IT Clinical Operations staff.
  • Utilize HL7 and DICOM standards for system integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic health information.
  • Develop action plans for project implementation and long-term planning.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with departments and partner facilities on PACS-related projects.
  • Implement and administer policies and procedures for PACS systems.
  • Communicate workflow changes and ensure quality assurance.
  • Perform audits, generate reports for management and quality improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PACS-related issues across multiple facilities.
  • Manage data integrity and quality for QA and reconciliation.
  • Support system training, upgrades, and peripheral installations.
  • Configure and troubleshoot radiologist workstations, understanding hardware and network connections.
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
  • Experience with health information systems, preferably in healthcare.
  • Experience with voice recognition software (e.g., Powerscribe) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
  • Experience with training and troubleshooting technical systems.
  • RIS/PACS experience with preferred vendors listed above.
