I. General Job Description

This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all vehicles and equipment serviced by the company’s facilities. Service Technicians are expected to perform with the highest degree of professional competence regarding quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum tool requirements (see below).

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or 1 year of work experience.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • 1-year heavy-duty truck experience.
  • Ability to perform vehicle lubrication systems and D.O.T. safety inspections.
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude.

IV. Mental Capability Requirements

  • Comprehension: Ability to understand complex problems, collaborate, and explore alternative solutions.
  • Organization: Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with moderate impact on immediate work unit.

  • Mathematics: Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes.

V. Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment characteristics are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

While performing duties, employees regularly use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. They frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and taste or smell. Occasionally, employees sit. The role involves lifting/moving up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 65 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, wet/humid conditions, extreme heat, vibration, and noise. Occasional exposure includes high places, fumes, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
