Job description

Looking to join a five-time US Best Managed Company award winner? Blue Seal/KENT Nutrition Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Packing Operator in Arcade, NY! This position is available on the 2nd shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Operate all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
2. Mix and prepare livestock feeds accurately and efficiently, ensuring high quality.
3. Maintain compliance with KNG’s quality assurance protocols regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
4. Report any factors affecting the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients to the supervisor.
5. Enforce all company policies and procedures.
6. Ensure samples are representative and properly prepared for quality control review.
7. Shake out feeds requiring a shakeout and record results.
8. Complete all quality control reports for each feed run.
9. Ensure all feeds meet yield guidelines; notify supervisor if not.
10. Verify all feed bags are correct, properly tagged, and lot codes are legible.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by plant management.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good verbal, written, and math communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Understanding of cGMPs, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan, and FSMA.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to work in dust, adverse weather, and temperature conditions.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs safely from floor to working height.

Wage:

• Starting at $19.00 per hour.
