Hachette Book Group is seeking a packing associate to operate the Track and Tape machines, ensuring boxes are packed correctly and protected for shipping. You will inspect cartons for damage and proper placement, replenish packing materials, and report any machine issues to supervision.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Experience in packaging or carton assembly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Track Machine and ensure cartons are correctly packed.
• Check cartons for damage and correct placement of products.
• Add paper to cartons for protection and change tape on the Tape machine.
• Report machine problems or errors to Lead or Supervisor.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for packing boxes using the Track machine and Tape machine.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate Track Machine;
• Check cartons to assure product is undamaged and was correctly placed in carton;
• Add proper amount of paper to cartons to ensure damage protection.
• Change tape on tape machine.
• Communication - must report all machine problems, damages, and errors found to Lead or Supervisor;
• Reliability - must be dependable in working established shift schedules, including overtime;
• Assist Quality Control as needed;
• Clean machines and work area;
• Report to Picking Lead after all cartons have been packed;
• Perform minor troubleshooting on Numina packlist printer.

Education And Experience

At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
