Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Packing Associate in Jurupa Valley, CA. The position pays $16.90 per hour, with a Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–6:30 PM schedule. You will pick, pack, label, and prepare items for shipment while maintaining strict safety and food safety standards.

The job involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs, and operating packaging equipment. Previous related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math skills to verify counts, weights, and date codes.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, safety procedures, and food safety standards.
• Previous food manufacturing/packaging experience preferred.
• Experience operating packaging equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with GMP, SQF, USDA and food safety requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and food safety regulations.
• Count, pack, seal, label, and prepare products for shipment.
• Verify product date codes, weights, and packaging specifications against production schedules.
• Inspect products to ensure quality, appearance, and customer requirements are met.
• Transport products between production areas, including chill tanks, freezers, and packaging lines.
• Assist with palletizing, packaging, and order completion activities.
• Ensure pouches and packaging materials are properly sealed and secure.
• Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and verify equipment is in proper working condition.
