Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Mettler Toledo Shipping / Assembly Associate completes shipment transactions, maintains stock control, pulls product and parts for specific customer orders, configures products using various hand assembly techniques, packages the product, and loads/unloads freight.

Enhance facility performance through proactive actions related to:

  1. Complete accurate shipping transactions and quality product assembly utilizing production supporting documentation, including production orders, standard work, blueprints, and other related documents.
  2. Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g., SAP) system and ensure proper routing of bill of lading and shipped orders.
  3. Understand and strictly adhere to all hazardous material shipping guidelines.
  4. Maintain accurate records such as production orders, test sheets, shipping documentation, pack lists, and TPM sheets. Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, assemble/pack products, work in other departments, and fulfill other duties as required.
  5. Adhere to 5S standards and practices.
  6. Assist in the accurate collection of SQDC data.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Experience in product shipping, assembly, and testing.
  • Experience operating dock plates, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, cranes, and jib hoists for loading/unloading trucks/trailers.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow shipping, assembly, testing, quality assurance procedures, and engineering prints.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required, including weekends.
  • Ability to work from order schedules and follow directions.
