Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Mettler Toledo Shipping / Assembly Associate completes shipment transactions, maintains stock control, pulls product and parts for specific customer orders, configures products using various hand assembly techniques, packages the product, and loads / unloads freight.
Enhance facility performance through proactive actions relating to:
  • Complete accurate shipping transactions and quality product assembly utilizing production supporting documentation; including but not limited to production orders, standard work, blue prints and other documents related to the shipping and assembly of products.
  • Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that the bill of lading and shipped orders are routed appropriately.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to all hazardous material shipping guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate written records such as production orders, test sheets, shipping documentation, pack lists, and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) sheets. Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, assemble / pack products, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.
  • Adhere to 5S standards and practices.
  • Assist in accurate collection of SQDC data.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Product shipping, assembly, and test experience.
  • Experience operating the dock plates while loading and unloading of trucks/trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, cranes and jib hoists
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team oriented environment.
  • Experience in reading, comprehending, and following shipping / assembly / test / quality assurance procedures and engineering prints.
  • Basic computer experience Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques
  • Ability to work overtime when required (some could be on weekends).
  • Ability to work from order schedules.
  • Ability to follow directions.
