Job summary

Paycom - ATS is hiring a packaging associate for our food production and warehouse facility in the United States. You will handle product packaging, stacking, counting, sealing, and boxing to meet customer specifications, while maintaining GMP and safety standards.

You must stand for the shift, lift 5-15 lbs, and operate bagging equipment and NetSuite for material scans. Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork are essential as you help keep a fast-paced packing line running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in food packaging or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift 5–15 pounds and stand for a full shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Follows GMP and Safety policies to ensure HACCP compliance.
  • Performs packaging activities: stacking, counting, sealing, bagging into trays/boxes.
  • Verifies code dates, weight and appearance meet client specs.
  • Ensures trays/pallets/boxes meet standards and maintain order.
  • Maintains bagging machine operation and cleanliness of area.
  • Coordinates with packing/stacking team for break relief and coverage.
  • Documents materials and uses NetSuite for scanning and work orders.

Job description

Description: Responsible for the overall handling of final product ensuring all product leaves the plant, correctly placed in pallets, trays or boxes in compliance with customer specifications.Work Environment: This job operates in a food production and warehouse setting. The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift 5-15 pounds and work on their feet, while using tools to perform repetitive actionsHearing and speaking to exchange information.Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects as assigned by position.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate bagging equipment.Reaching overhead, above shoulders and horizontally.Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.Seeing to monitor food quality and quantity.The ability to stand and walk for an entirety of a shift.Competencies:Attention to Detail: Ensuring products are correctly placed and meet customer specifications.Quality Control: Identifying and addressing defects or issues with products.Time Management: Completing tasks within set deadlines.Safety Awareness: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents.Adaptability: Adjusting to changes in packing procedures or product specifications.Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with supervisors and team members.Reliability: Consistently performing tasks to a high standard.Stress Management: Handling the pressures of a fast-paced environment.Core Responsibilities:Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program, AIB and other regulatory requirements.Follows all food safety, Food Defense principles and legal requirements.Performs all product handling activities in a packaging work-cell (i.e. stacking, counting, packaging, sealing, put bags in trays or boxes).Verifies code dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance, is within specified parameters and conform to clients’ expectations.Ensures trays, pallets and/or boxes are within standards.Verifies equipment is in good working condition; communicates to management any deficiencies noted.Performs visual inspection of product ensuring quality is acceptable.May assist in the training of new personnel.Maintain bagging machine operation for efficiencyCoordinate with packing/stacking team for break reliefMaintain order and cleanliness in packaging areaIntegrity in accuracy in documentationNetSuite scanning materials to work orders.Follow OSHA Safety Regulation and Safety Rules.Report safety concerns to management or Safety CommitteeEducation and Experience:High School Diploma/ GED preferred
