Berry Global Group in Seattle is seeking a Packer / Line Inspector to verify product quality by visually inspecting for defects and packaging the product for storage. You will read production instructions, work at a fast pace on a 12-hour shift, and stand for long periods.
This role requires safety awareness, a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds while using PPE. Teamwork is important, with occasional independent work with your machine.
Packer / Line Inspector's primary responsibility is to verify the quality of product being produced by visually reviewing product for defects. All tasks performed must be performed safely and comply with all safety and GMP policies. After checking product for defects which we will train you to inpsect for, you then package product into packaging for storage. This involves reading production instructions for quantity and configurations of how to package properly directly onto pallets at your machine. Standing, walking, reaching and lifting boxes of up to thirty five pounds repetitively during a twelve hour shift. This process moves at a fast pace and is best suited for those that like to keep busy and not have sedentry tasks. Time passes quickly! Will perform tasks that require you work with others as a team and alone at times. (Great coworkers!)
