Job summary

The Jay Group LTD is seeking a on-site Boot Production QA/Packaging Associate in Wynne, AR. You will inspect, dress, box and ship finished boots, ensuring brand-specific presentation and accurate packaging per specs.

Position summary

Inspect, dress, box and ship the finished boot.

Essential functions
  • Inspect each pair against the cosmetic and construction standard. Reject anything that does not meet it.
  • Set heel pads and insoles. Lace, clean and dress the boot for presentation.
  • Verify pair match and size before boxing. A mismatched pair is a guaranteed return.
  • Box, label and carton to the customer's packaging specification, including brand-specific requirements.
  • Stage cartons for carrier pickup in ship-schedule order.
  • Log every defect you find and the department it came from.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
  • No prior experience required at grade P1. We train you to the standard.
  • Attention to detail, and the willingness to reject work that is not right.
  • Able to read a size stamp, a style number and a packaging specification.
Physical requirements and work environment

This position works on the production floor. Standing and walking for most of the shift. Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. Repetitive use of hands. Hearing and eye protection required in designated areas. Steel-toe footwear required on the production floor. Reasonable accommodation is available to qualified individuals with disabilities.

Pairs packed per shift. Defects that escape to the customer. Packing accuracy.
