Job summary

Silgan Specialty Packaging LLC is seeking a production operator responsible for ensuring product safety and quality, monitoring machine operation, and properly packing boxes for shipment. You will count and stack finished parts, identify nonconformities and report them, and ensure adherence to required stack patterns and labeling standards.

Additionally, you will maintain a clean and safe working area, perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary, and strictly follow all safety rules

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all the duties listed below; Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and are counted correctly. Ensure parts packed into storage boxes are in adherence to the required stack pattern Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA. Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards. Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.. Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment. Maintain a clean and safe working area. Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
