Job summary

Caring Transitions of North Dallas Suburbs is seeking individuals to support relocation, downsizing and estate sale projects. This role focuses on helping seniors and families with compassionate, practical support, including sorting, packing, staging homes and researching value of items.

You'll interact with clients and families, work part-time, and may on some days face physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and work for long periods.
• Access to a computer, smartphone, or tablet for scheduling and time-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Sort, organize and pack household goods to be moved or sold.
• Stage and prepare homes for sale.
• Research merchandise to determine fair market value.
• Move supplies and packed boxes within the client’s home.
• Safely pack and unpack goods.
• Interact with clients, their families, and coworkers.
• Assist with loading/unloading items under 25lbs to/from vehicles.

Caring Transitions of North Dallas Suburbs specializes in relocation, downsizing and estate sales. We help seniors and non-seniors make smooth and stress-free transitions from one living situation to another.

Job Description (including, but not limited to)

• Sorting, organizing and packing household goods to be moved or sold
• Staging and preparing homes for sale
• Researching merchandise to determine fair market value
• Moving supplies and packed boxes within client’s home
• Safely pack and unpack goods
• Interacting with clients, their families, and other coworkers
• Must be able to stand during shift, sometimes long periods of time, must be able to bend, lift up to 25lbs, hang items at or above 4 feet, and climb stairs
• Must be able to carry supplies, items and move boxes (under 25lbs) to and from vehicles
• We don’t move furniture and items over 25lbs, that is the responsibility of the moving team

Job Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable source of transportation
• Must be able to stand and work for long periods of time
• Must have access to a computer / smart phone /tablet for scheduling, time-keeping and project management apps

Availability and Hours

• Please include your availability when applying
• We try to limit the scope of work to the weekdays (Monday through Friday), however, some jobs may require weekend work
• Part-time hours, every job is different and requires a different amount of hours, we cannot guarantee set hours
