A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Packer to join their team. This entry-level position offers immediate opportunities for advancement to a Machine Operator. Nature and Scope
The Packer is an entry level position with immediate opportunity to become a Machine Operator. Utilizing current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), the Packer will be responsible for assembling injectable packs via automated or manual means. The Packer must pay attention to details including checking accuracy of printed data, correct quantities of product placed in individual cartons and using scanners to pack cartons into their shipping cartons. Packers will need to pass an eye examination for visibility of printed data and the ability to detect cosmetic issues on vials.During the probationary period, Packers will learn how to operate all Labeling/Packaging equipment to advance their position within the department to Packaging Machine Operator once training is complete.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform various packaging tasks to establish standards of productivity and quality.
Clean work area as needed.
Accurately complete required documentation.
Assist in different departments as needed.
Notify supervisor and/or lead person before leaving workstation.
Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
Accurately read, write and count.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Environment and Requirements
Specific vision requirements include 20/40 near vision (can be corrected with eyeglasses or contacts) and color vision.
Capable of manual dexterity to perform to standard.
Ability to read fine print.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift 10 pounds repeatedly (5-6 hours).Ability to lift 11-25 pounds occasionally (1-2 hours).
Expected Hourly Rate:
$18.57
