Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Associate – Packer for Irvine, CA on the 2nd shift in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. You will pack tamales, label products, palletize, and maintain GMP and food safety standards to ensure quality. This contract-to-hire onsite role offers weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Job Description

Join our dynamic food manufacturing team as a Production Associate on the 2nd shift. This role is crucial in supporting food manufacturing operations through packaging, palletizing, labeling, and preparing finished tamale products for shipment. You will thrive in a fast-paced production environment while adhering to food safety, quality, and GMP standards.

Responsibilities

• Pack tamales into trays, containers, boxes, or other designated packaging.
• Accurately label finished products according to production requirements.
• Palletize packaged products for storage and shipment.
• Stack, wrap, and secure pallets to ensure safe transport.
• Inspect packaging for quality, accuracy, and product integrity.
• Move finished goods and packaging materials throughout the facility.
• Supply packaging lines with boxes, labels, and other materials as needed.
• Store finished products according to food safety and company standards.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment with temperatures around 50°F.
• Follow all PPE, GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and food safety guidelines.
• Experience working closely with food.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs continuously, 40 lbs frequently, and exert up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Stand for long periods.
• Read and interpret safety and procedure documents in English; Spanish is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 – $20.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
